Spire steps in after severe weather in Selma, Alabama to aid residents

Tornadoes devastated the Selma, Alabama area in early January of 2023. Crews were on call ready to respond to any natural gas emergencies in the area. After the severe weather event, there was still work in the community that needed to be attended to.

Spire employees from Montgomery, Selma and Birmingham came together to support the city of Selma. Volunteers cooked and handed out warm meals to members of the community who have been impacted by the recent tornado that devastated the area. They also distributed essential supplies to those in need.

Spire also donated $15,000 to the Central East Alabama Chapter of the American Red Cross to community members in the Selma and Prattville areas who were impacted. Spire crews continue to work in the storm-damaged areas, making sure the community stays safe.
