Strawberry Pie Deluxe

Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 10 saltine crackers, crushed
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 pt. fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups whipped cream
Instructions
- In a large, deep bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form when beater is slowly raised. Gradually add sugar and baking powder; continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in crackers and pecans.
- Pour into well-greased 9-inch pie pan. Bake in a 325 F gas oven for 30 minutes. Let cool.
- Arrange strawberries on top of meringue crust. Top with whipped cream. Refrigerate overnight.
