How to get DollarHelp funds to help with your Spire natural gas bill

If you believe you qualify for DollarHelp, you can access this funding by contacting Spire to connect with a customer service specialist.

Simply call Spire's customer service line and mention you'd like to learn more about DollarHelp. We'll guide you through the process from there.

NEW: To help even more Spire customers access energy assistance through DollarHelp, we’ve made three changes to the program:

  1. The Spire Foundation has provided an extra $100,000 to the program for the winter ’22-’23 heating season
  2. We expanded income eligibility: Now, if your household income is 300% of the Federal Poverty Level, you may qualify for DollarHelp funding—up from 200% for Missouri and 150% for Alabama. Calculate your income >
  3. We increased the maximum annual pledge: We’ve increased the maximum total annual DollarHelp pledge amount to $1,000 per year

About your donation

Once you enroll, Spire will match donations up to $150,000 per year. Then, our partner, United Way, distributes 100 percent of those funds to social service agencies. So when a family requests help, we'll share the warmth.

We believe energy exists to help people. To warm their homes, fuel their businesses and move our communities forward.

Because this belief is at the heart of what we do, in 1982 we partnered with United Way to create the DollarHelp program — a program that helps thousands of families every year. In FY22, nearly 1,700 pledges, totaling more than $640,000, helped neighbors across Alabama and Missouri stay warm this past winter.
