Ingredients
- 1 pound Jimmy Dean hot sausage
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 small cabbage, diced
- 1 egg
- ½ cup chicken broth
- salt and pepper to taste
Cornbread
- 1 box Jiffy Cornbread mix
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup milk
Instructions
- Bake cornbread per packaging
- Cook sausage in a pan on medium high heat, then add cabbage, bell pepper and celery and cook until transparent.
- Crumble cornbread in a baking dish, then mix in sausage and vegetables.
- Add egg and broth to the baking dish and mix well.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
